This is the official site of MiTchi, who considers himself an mathmaticial artist. He expresses himself through a variety of media: Visual arts, photography, music, novels, computer code. He is trying to concatenate aesthetics and math in all these areas and is striving to find latent connections in these realms.
MiTchi is an inhabitant of earth currently living in the heart of Berlin where he can find inspiration, inspiring exchange of ideas and new theoretical insights in the various infamous institutions. He thoroughly analyzes every step he is undertaking artistically. His projects require an enormous amount of planning beforehand as he is compulsively accurate with everything he is doing. His art has to be carefully planned and his visual works are rather constructed and tuned than merely created. Every photography he takes is proceeded by detailed calibration of aperture, aperture duration, ISO-sensitivity, focus and flash settings. Angle, light conditions and zoom take him forever to adjust for him to be finally satisfied. Same goes for this website. The template is fine tuned to fulfill his aesthetic aspirations. He does not just play guitar. He wants to understand the theory behind scales, harmonics and cadences. He can think for hours about the ratios of notes in scales and dives into microtonal scales to enhance the acoustic experience way beyond the 12 tone music of the western world. Therefore he composes with his set of custom tuned guitars and his keyboard with unique customized scales. Also in his writing he is wrapped up in excessiv brainstorming, character schemes, mindmaps, notes, plot planning, systematical graphs and pages and pages of notes. To assuage his compulsion he even introduces new notations and highlighting in his writings to precisely convey what he wants to express.
